Convention on Biological Diversity

The Convention on Biological Diversity has three main goals: conservation of biodiversity, sustainable use of biodiversity and fair and equitable sharing of the benefits arising from the use of genetic resources.The governments that have ratified the treaty meets every two years to review progress, set priorities and commit to work plans.
