The International Seabed Authority

The International Seabed Authority (ISA) in an autonomous organization established under the UNCLOS article 156 and the 1994 Agreement relating to the Implementation of Part XI of the UNCLOS. The Authority is the organization through which States Parties to UNCLOS shall organize and control activities regarding the Seabed, particularly with a view to administering resources.
