Cooperative measures to assess and increase awareness of environmental effects related to waste originating from chemical munitions dumped at sea (2019)

    • Resolution adopted by consensus, inviting Member States and organizations to continue efforts to assess and increase awareness of environmental effects related to the issue of date originating from chemical munitions dumped at sea, and to cooperate on risk assessment, monitoring, information‑gathering, risk prevention and response to incidents.

2020 United Nations Conference to Support the Implementation of Sustainable Development Goal 14 –  Conserve and sustainably use the oceans, seas and marine resources for sustainable development (2019)

    • Resolution adopted by consensus, deciding to convene a high-level conference in Lisbon from 2 to 6 June 2020 that will focus on the conservation and sustainable use of the oceans, seas and marine resources in the context of the Sustainable Development Goals.

Observer status for the International Council for the Exploration of the Sea in the General Assembly (2018)

    • Resolution adopted by consensus. The International Council is an intergovernmental organization that coordinates and promotes marine research, providing the best available science to enable policymakers to make informed decisions on the sustainable use of marine environments and ecosystems. The International Council can participate in the sessions and the work of the General Assembly in the capacity of observer.
